End of 1st Quarter

Can you believe today is the official end of the 1st Quarter?? Report cards will be issued to students this Friday. If your child does not bring his/hers home you can always call the office and ask for a copy to be sent home or stop in and pick one up.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, October 24th from 3-8 pm and Thursday, October 25th from 3-7 pm. Students will be dismissed at 2pm both days. If a teacher has requested a conference with you and your child, you should have received a letter in the mail. Please call the high school office and make an appointment for a time that is convenient for you. If you did not receive a letter, please feel free to meet with any of your child's teachers by calling the high school office. The high school's number is 815-947-3323.

Examinations/Vaccinations

If you have a freshmen student and they have not received a physical examination, please get this done ASAP. Also, all senior students must have received the second dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine on or after their 16th birthday and an interval of at least eight weeks after the first dose. Only one dose is required if the first dose was received at 16 years of age or older. No proof of immunity is allowed.

Mrs. Downs, the School Nurse, has sent letters home to families informing them if their children are not compliant with exams and/or vaccinations.

All proof of exams and vaccinations are due to the high school office by October 15th.

High School Mentoring Program

A group of students worked with the 5th and 6th grades in the mentoring program. This month's message focused on "What does responsibility mean to you?" This is a great program for both the younger students and the high school students! Thank you to Mrs. Malone for coordinating this wonderful program!
