Quarantining Information for Parents

Quarantine times have been reduced from 14 calendar days for close contacts to 10 days.

According, to the New Jersey Department of Health, we are to identify and exclude school-based contacts for 10 days from last exposure. We report all positive cases and close contacts to the Burlington County Health Department.

Close contacts may test out with a negative test result collected on days 5 through 7 and return to school on day 8.

Stay Home When Sick or if Exposed to COVID 19

All students should stay home if they:

  • Have tested positive (viral test) for COVID-19.
  • Are sick.
  • Are not fully vaccinated and have had close contact with a person with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL SICK. IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT THEY HAVE COVID, MULTIPLE STUDENTS AND FAMILIES WILL BE IMPACTED AND AFFECTED.

Definition of close contact:

Close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of someone with suspected or known COVID-19 for 15 or more minutes during a 24-hour period on a bus or in the cafeteria or 3 feet of someone in a classroom setting, In certain situations, it may be difficult to determine whether individuals have met this criterion and an entire cohort, classroom, or other group may need to be considered exposed.

Help keep our schools safe and open for in-person learning!
