Over the next two cycles academic teachers will be making course recommendations for their students. School Counselors will begin meeting with students at the end of January through the first couple of weeks of March to finalize student schedules and plan for the next school year. Course verification will be shared with parents/guardians once this process is complete.
Reminder to Parents/Guardians: If you are dismissing a student during the school day, please send your child in with a note and have them bring that to the Main Office on the morning of the day they need to be dismissed. This will reduce interruption to classes and will result in timely dismissals for students.

Career and Technical Updates
Grade 9 Students will be selecting Career and Tech Programs next week!
We ask that parents/guardians sign the paperwork confirming their student's placement and that students return the next day to their English teacher.
Students will start in their Career and Technical Program on Monday, January 28th! Students will start their program during an assembly in the auditorium (7:35AM for AM exploratory and 11:00AM for PM exploratory).
Future Farmer's of America State Officer's visit KT!
Grade 10 horticulture students working at The Natick Community Organic Farm. Harvesting lettuce greens during our weekly community service experience at the farm.
Culinary students visit Lily's Pasta in Everett, MA!
The Early Childhood Education and Teaching Juniors are starting their American Red Cross CPR curriculum. They are doing fabulous! They will be certified by the end of term 2 and then they will be ready to go out to their cooperative placements.
WGBH presents the domestic violence training program that Cosmetology students participated in.

SENIORS! Get that money for college!!!!! Learn how to apply for scholarships through Keefe Tech by attending the Guidance Scholarship Workshop on Wednesday, January 30th, at 12:00 pm in Auditorium. Sign up for this event in guidance.
Junior College Planning Night - SAVE THE DATE!
Thursday, February 7th beginning at 6PM
- Complete overview of the college exploration and application process
- Representatives from colleges and universities
- Opportunity to have questions answered by School Counselors
- 3 presentations will be running at the same time in English, Portuguese and Spanish
An evite was sent home to families earlier this week. Families can sign up electronically or in the Guidance Office.
SAT Prep Courses: We are in the process of putting together information on SAT Prep Math and Verbal Courses for grade 11 students that will begin after February vacation. The goal of these classes is to help prepare student for the May or June 2019 SAT exam.
A mailing about this opportunity will go home to families in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
Math SAT Prep Course will run on Tuesdays from 5:30P - 8PM beginning February 26, 2019 and ending April 30, 2019
Verbal SAT Prep Course will run on Thursdays from 5:30PM - 8PM beginning February 28, 2019 and ending May 2, 2019.
Each class will be $100 and registration will be first come first serve once open. If there is not sufficient registration the course will not run.
Seniors who are planning to apply to 4-year colleges and universities should be working on their college applications, completing necessary essays and making sure they have connected with teachers about recommendations. Students should make an appointment with their School Counselor if they have not done so already. Deadlines come up quick and we want to make sure they everyone is on track.
Grade 11 Students who took the PSAT in October! Counselors will be meeting with students at the end of this month to review scores. Information on how to obtain your scores prior to these meetings is below.
All students should have received an email about their results (see below). School Counselors will also be meeting with students in January to review results and help students create a plan of their next steps surrounding the college process.
How to Get Your Scores
When your PSAT/NMSQT scores are ready online, you'll get an email with instructions on creating your College Board account, going to your online score report, and using your access code to view your scores.
From your desktop, you can also print your online score report by clicking the View Details button, then clicking Download Report in the top right corner.
