Lakeshore Middle School Tennis Club
Tennis club this spring for:
- 7th and 8th boys and girls.
- The club will run on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00-4:15 at the LMS courts.
- The start date for tennis will be the Tuesday after spring break April 9.
- The club will consist of practices and some matches against other local middle school tennis clubs.(Depending upon the number of students this schedule will be flexible in the event that we have more tennis players than we have court space for)
- The cost is $25 and includes a t-shirt.
- This year the club will be taught by tennis professional Caitlin Rutledge. Caitlin is a certified teaching professional through the USPTA. For the past several years, she has been teaching tennis at the Kalamazoo YMCA. She played college tennis at Kalamazoo Valley Community college and is currently employed at South Shore Health and Racket Club.

The absence form can now be found on on our Parent page of the Middle School website in the "For Parents" section. Thank you for those who have put it to use when necessary. Spread the word to those you know who may be heading out of town in the future.

The Positivity Project
1. Why is it important to cheer for other people?
2. How might cheering for when they are successful help you have a better relationship?
3. Why is it sometimes difficult to be happy about the success of others?
During the week of March 11, students will explore the character strength of Love of Learning. Students with Love of Learning high on their list of character strengths enjoy learning for simply the sake of learning and the reward is in the process.
Reminder on Drop off and Pick Up Procedures
White lane:
Used for drop off before school prior to 7:40 and pick up after 2:43. When exiting, you may turn both left and right.
Red lane:
Used for drop off before school prior to 7:40 and pick up after 2:43. When exiting, you may turn RIGHT ONLY.
Yellow lane:
Used for drop off prior to 7:40 and pick up after school by only Lakeshore buses and other district provided transportation only. Used for parent drop off AFTER 7:40 due to child having to sign in to the office and get a pass to class. Used for pick up during the school day 7:40-2:43 with parent sign out in the office.
