Summertime Sharing

By Lydia Parada

The theme of this poem is to be grateful for what you have the people you have.

Two words in every stanza rhyme creating a rhythm in the poem.

"Me and my fast feet are there and back in just two shakes." This is an example of hyperbole because she cant actually get back in two shakes. Using hyperbole's shows you how fast and determined she was to get the ice cream.

The authors attitude is caring because when Danitra can't buy ice cream she buys it for her with her own money.

Mood explanation

Keeping it white represents the simplicity of just helping a friend out when he/she needs it.
