THE GANGES RIVER
The Ganges River (also known as River Ganga) is about 1,557 miles long. The River Ganga originates at Gangotri glacier on the southern slopes of the Himalayas about 14,000 feet above sea level. It is also the most polluted river in the world because animal and human carcuses are thrown in there.

The Ganges Basin is about 200 to 400 miles wide. The Mouth of the river forms a delta called the Sundarban Delta which is the largest delta in the world.

GANGES RIVER DOLPHIN (SUSU)
The ganges river dolphin inhabits the Brahmaputra and the river systems of Nepal, India, and Bangladesh. This area is one of the most densly populated areas. The dolphin is blind because its eyes have no lens. It has a long thin stout and a rounded belly. It has to surface every 30 to 120 seconds. It shares its habitat with crocodiles, and fresh wate turtles.
