Centerview families,
Over the last two years, we’ve also stayed committed as a staff by encouraging collaboration and innovation in learning and teaching within our building. It’s been great as a principal to work in an environment where learning is so visible and on display, staff and students are creating connections between content and learning spaces, and there is flexibility in meeting varying needs and learning styles.
You’ll have an opportunity to hear much more about what your child is learning in October. Your child’s teachers will be reaching out to set up time for personalized conferences and connections in the month of October. We’ll be flexible on both ends with schedules and choices in format (WebEx, face-to-face, telephone).
During these conversations, you’ll have a chance to engage with your student’s learner profile and discuss their spark to engagement and next steps to learning. Our desire is to partner with you in conversation leading to a clear understanding of your child’s current progress and plans for their academic, social and emotional success.
Fall break also is right around the corner and there is no school for students October 18-22. While students enjoy time away from their school routine, staff will be at school for professional learning, planning and design and conference opportunities.
This week, we’ve enjoyed participating in Homecoming week spirit days. So far, there have been lots of smiles and giggles with being able to wear PJ’s, fun socks, and all one color to school. We’ll finish off the week with hat day on Thursday and Panther Spirit Day on Friday.
As always, if you have thoughts or questions, please give us a ring.
My best,
Mike
