Bellville Elementary
November Newsletter...
It is hard to believe we have completed our first nine weeks of school, and grade cards went home on Friday! Please sign and return the envelope your child's grade card came home in by Friday, November 1st. The envelopes are reused each nine weeks, so it is important they are returned.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 7th and Tuesday, November 12th from 3:30-7:30 p.m. each day. Please do not forget the earlier you return your conference sheet, the more likely you will be able to attend your child's conference at your first choice.
On Friday, October 25, Bellville Elementary hosted Ned's Kindness Adventure. This was a fantastic assembly which taught us many different lessons, and emphasized our theme of Kindness Matters. The students were very well behaved, and engaged during the assembly! There is a selection of handcrafted items created by artisans in Kenya for sale in our school office. The items will be available for sale until Friday, November 8th, and prices are $8, $10 or $15. Proceeds from the sale go to Pay-It-Forward for another school to experience this assembly for free, and some of the proceeds are used to bring wells and fresh water to the people of Kenya. There is no obligation, but please ask your child about the assembly and what he/she learned.
A very sincere thank you for getting your child to school on time each day! Last week third graders participated in state testing, and fourth graders participated in gifted testing, and our attendance has been great!! Students who attend school perform better!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at swanks@clearfork.k12.oh.us or (419) 886-3244. Thank you so much for your support and for allowing us to work with your precious child(ren)!
Sincerely,
