Dress a Doll Community Service
Stop Human Traficking!
Join us in creating yarn dolls for little girls around the world!
Saturday October 21st, 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Forum Shults Center
This event involves making simple yarn dolls that go in the pockets of the dresses that are then given to girls around the world!
Student coordinator Andrea Raphael will guide the workshop as you make the dolls and learn about human trafficking around the world.
Angels of Mercy of Rochester provides handmade dresses to girls in the U.S. and developing countries that are at risk for being kidnapped into human trafficking. Too many girls around the world have no one to care for them and providing them handmade dresses tells them that there is someone who thinks about them. The label of the organization on the outside tells the predators that the girls are under the care of the organization which may discourage them.
