It's College Week at Hearne!!
Afterschool Clubs are Back!
If you are interested in being a club sponsor, please complete the attached form and turn it in to Ms. Gales by October 2, 2019.
A short meeting will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11:30-12:00 in the library for a Lunch and Learn.
Important information:
· Clubs are 100% lead and organized by the sponsor
· No snacks from cafeteria. Students may bring a healthy snack from home
· You must be available to stay on campus until all of your club students are picked up
· You must select your students
· You must create a permission slip and notes for parents (Samples on Common)
· You must have a sub in place when absent or cancel club prior to being absent(Remind 101 is good for this)
· You must notify administrators via text when all students are dismissed from your club
· You must have an attendance sheet for each meeting day that is kept in the office to assist with parent calls
· Teachers will receive a small stipend twice a year
· Paras will receive hourly pay or COMP time

Thank you for signing up for AVID in Action! Our high school students will be joining us every Friday at their designated times.
AVID in Action Mentors can pull a small group, check agendas, support your lesson delivery, and help with getting materials ready for a lesson.
AVID in Action mentors are transported by school bus to Hearne from Taylor High School weekly. They are excited to support our students.
