We are excited to see more families choosing Jefferson Jr. Sr. High School this school year! As a result, however, this has created some challenges with providing students options to make changes to their schedules. We appreciate your understanding and hope to revise our schedule for next semester to provide more choices for our 7th-grade and 8th-grade students.
Students received their student ID's this past week. We ask that all students carry their school ID on them. Students can use their IDs to scan at lunch, making the lunch lines move significantly quicker. If a student has lost their ID or missed picture day, we will be able to make them a new ID soon. In the meantime, if they have a school ID from last year, they can use that one at lunch.

A message from your School Based Team
Jefferson Center and Jeffco Public Schools have partnered for over 25 years to provide support to children and families in the district. The school-based therapist program is an innovative collaboration, with the primary goal of increasing access to mental health services for students and their families.
Lily Buthod, LPCC is the School Based therapist at your child’s school. Lily Buthod will work in partnership with the Jefferson Jr/Sr High staff to support the mental health needs of students. Students may work with Lily Buthod in therapy for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, anger, behavior issues at school or home, trauma, grief/loss, or issues adjusting to a big change. Lily Buthod may also teach lessons to students on topics including how their brain works, stopping and thinking, emotional regulation, and effective communication.
When clinicians teach lessons, we collect the minimum necessary data per Medicaid requirements (names, birthdates, and gender) of students in the classes. This is to check for Medicaid coverage and receive reimbursement where available.
Jefferson Center is so excited about continuing our presence in the Jefferson Jr/Sr community! We have heard and witnessed Jefferson’s dedication to giving families and students all of the resources they need to succeed in school, and in life, and we feel lucky to be a part of that vision.
Sincerely,
Your School Based Team
