Counselor's Corner
School Day SAT
On Wednesday, March 4, all juniors will be taking the SAT.
This is a great opportunity provided to our juniors as there is no fee to test and no preregistration is necessary.
It is important that each junior bring their own calculator and pencils, mechanical pencils are not permitted.
As testing will run until almost 2pm, juniors will not have access to off campus lunch.
Those wanting to purchase lunch on campus, will preorder a lunch through their facilitators.
As always, learners are welcome to bring their lunch as well.
All juniors will enjoy lunch in the cafeteria at the conclusion of testing.

Second Years
Less than one week until Acadecon 2020! Learners have shifted into the next gear of Change the Game, as they ramp up their production towards booth design, putting the finishing touches on their games, and tying up as many loose ends as they can. Join us next Thursday, February 6th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. to check out the games, marketing, and everything else that the learners have been working very hard to finish.
THIRD YEARS
Fourth Years
This week the 4th year learners worked to script and then deliver Capstone pitches. The pitch gave learners the opportunity to highlight not only their completed research, but also the goals of their intended product. Learners also began considering topics for their genre reformulation project. In the project, learners will have the opportunity to look at topic(s) from the text, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, from a different angle. The purpose of the reformulation project is to practice their research skills, explore different genres of writing, and examine their ideas about their self-selected topics. In Government, learners held national party meetings to develop platforms that were able to deliver speeches. The voting will occur in class on Monday.
