Wildcat Weekly 2/5-2/9
Proud Principal of Pomerado Elementary School
Hi Wildcats!
We had another great week at Pomerado with two special events, A Day to Be Brave, and Walk Through the Revolution.
All students participated in an interactive presentation with the author of the book, The Greatest Worrier. Many student related to the lessons of the story and experiences of the main character. We hope your students came home and told you all about it! To learn more about A Day to be Brave, you can watch the event trailer.
Our 5th grade students participated in Walkthrough the Revolution which is an interactive lesson about American history. You can read more about the program on their website, here. The students really enjoyed dressing up, playing their roles, and working in teams to show what they learned in class about American history.
It is forecasted to rain all week, so remember to send your student dressed for wet weather and be extra cautious when driving around campus.
Thanks,
Mrs. Julie Goldberg

Read Across America Day is coming up on Friday, March 1st and we are collecting gently used books for our book exchange. All students will be able to bring home a free book as part of our celebration! We especially need chapter books (including early reader chapter books) for our older readers, but any books appropriate for preschool through 5th grade are greatly appreciated.
Please drop off donations in the red bin in the front office by Friday, February 16. Thank you in advance for helping promote literacy and a love of reading for our Wildcats!
