Collaboration Corner
This month we have continued to stay busy in the library. Many of you have used lots of the new titles to use for read alouds and teaching important skills. If you ever need a basket of books pulled, let me know! Other exciting collaborative activities:
- Mrs. Lanane's class went on a fall leaf hunt and used iPads to listen to stories.
- Mrs. Glenesk and Miss Coffman are starting a big project on Native Americans and allowed me to organize the project!
- 2nd and 3rd graders studies our community and invited Mr. Mayor Elect, Scott Fadness in to talk about a mayor's role.
- 3rd graders are making Box City's! This included the students filling out a job application with me and then having an election in their class for Mayor!
- 1st Graders are making their own non-fiction class book to work on Non-Fiction Text Features.
Mrs. Gropp's Class
Mrs. Gropp's class made a book about non-fiction features and wrote captions for pictures around the school.
Biblionasium
This is a great site for 3rd and 4th graders! Students can write book reviews, set up virtual books shelves, find recommendations and more! I will be starting this with a few classes to try it out.
Mr. Scott Fadness!
2nd and 3rd graders studied our community and invited Mr. Mayor Elect Scott Fadness. The kids really enjoyed hearing about being mayor and Fishers.
