RECEIPT OF DIPLOMA
Students must report to the west parking lot (the lot closest to First Street) at the assigned time (see schedule below). SVPD will have the lane closest to the school closed. Follow their instructions as they "stage" you for the procession. Each student will be given a 3x5 index card to legibly print their name and phonetic pronunciation and a car flag. At the appropriate time, each car will be directed through the procession which will take the students back out to Royal Ave. and re-enter the stadium parking lot. Here, students will be greeted with pomp and circumstance and proceed through the ivy chain and some staff in ceremonial dress cheering for the graduates (again social distancing guidelines will be in place). At a designated spot, the student will present the 3x5 card, have their name announced over the live streaming, and proceed around the perimeter of the decorated parking lot. Along the way, their diploma will be presented by our principal, Mr. Derrick, and each graduate will receive two copies of the printed graduation program. Our favorite DJ, Cody, from Winter Formal will be playing their favorite tunes, and images from this year will be projected on a giant screen.
PARADE
Our SVPD will be on hand to assist and ensure the safety of our viewers and participants. However, they are not closing any streets. Please follow all traffic rules and the SVUSD parade guidelines.
Thank you to Senior, Emily Crain, for designing our graduation flyers!

PREMIERE EVENT OF VIRTUAL GRADUATION
Our school's virtual graduation countdown is live! You can access the countdown via the following link:
https://royalhighschool.envisiongraduations.com/
Once the countdown is over the website will transition to your personalized landing page. The landing page will also host the video for the virtual graduation ceremony.
The virtual graduation will have recordings of our speakers, musical numbers, and presentations in addition to some bonus material. It is unlike any graduation ceremony Royal has had and includes some surprises for you. At 8:00 PM on June 5th, the countdown will transition and our graduation video will go live.
Following the premiere, you can download the entire video or individual components, or you may decide to share the link with friends and family who were not able to originally attend! Initially, they were only going to air our graduation one time, but because of a change at Envision Pro Av, the video will be available to watch in its entirety anytime once it goes live at 8:00 pm on June 5th. If the parade runs long or you decide to stop and grab dessert on your way home, graduation will be waiting for you! There is no need for family members who live in another time zone to lose sleep. This is a definite bonus of having a virtual graduation - unlimited tickets for friends and family!
JUNE 8-10: SENIOR SEND-OFF
Graduates will have the opportunity to return to the school with small groups of no more than 10 (on their assigned day listed below) to pick up their actual diploma, take pictures at three photo spots, and walk across our graduation stage. All of these will be set up in the quad between the main office and library.
Graduates, please bring a letter written to future self and include a small memento and photo to place in our Class of 2020 Time Capsule - This is a unique time, so save something that will be meaningful to you ten years from now. All items must fit in an envelope and should have the student's first and last name on it. The time capsule will be sealed and saved for the Class of 2020 10-year reunion.
