Asa C. Adams School Newsletter
May 2023
Dear Asa Families,
Hooray for May! We are beyond excited for the things that come along with the month of May. State assessments and NWEAs will be under way this month to show us all the great learning that students have done this school year. We also have field trips, the grade 4 and 5 concert, end of school year highlights like; field day, waterslide, Asa's Got Talent, and the Lip-sync battle being planned. Needless to say the weeks ahead are sure to be busy.
It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is in sight. These final six weeks of school are sure to be full of fun, learning, and lot's of excitement. In reflection, the growth the students have made this year is amazing and even more amazing is the growth that the fifth graders have shown as they prepare to move on to Orono Middle School. It has been so much fun getting to know them this year and it will be bittersweet sending them to middle school.
We hope the end of the school year goes smoothly for your children and family. And as always, if you have suggestions or ideas on how we can make Asa an even better place for teaching and learning...please reach out. And finally, remember we are here if you need us.
Sincerely,
Ms. Wyman and Ms. West

Book Fair The spring book fair will be held May 8th - 12th, and open during school hours. The fair will be open until 3:30pm on May 11th. We also have the Darling's Ice Cream truck that will be here on May 10th from 5 PM - 7 PM, for evening hours at the book fair. | Extra ClothesPlease remember to continue sending extra sets of clothing to school with your child. Slips and tumbles happen at recess and that makes for a long, cold, muddy afternoon. We are also accepting donations of clothing to keep on hand for unexpected moments like these. And, yes even our 5th graders need a change of clothes on occasion. We appreciate your help with extra clothing. | Dates
