From the Principal

Hello Bush Families!

Don't forget this is the last week of our "Bucks for Bush" Fundraiser! We are hoping to meet our goal of $85,000 dollars. We will be using this money to help fund field trips, classroom resources, enrichment activities, and playground improvements.

Please share the link with your friends and family so we can try to meet our goal.

Arrival and Dismissal Update

During arrival and dismissal, parents of biker and walker students need to park in the Woodland Oaks Church parking lot. Due to safety concerns, the gate by the flag pole will no longer be opened for arrival or dismissal. There should be no parents parking in the Bush parking lot or the Spirit of Joy parking lot and walking over to the playground. This is causing a safety issue as parents and students are trying to cross the car rider traffic. If you have to come in to the front desk during car rider times, you need to wait to cross the traffic until a staff member directs you across. Thank you for your understanding.

Volunteer in Conroe ISD

If you want to volunteer in any capacity on our campus, you must complete an application to "Volunteer in Conroe ISD." This includes any participation in classroom activities or aiding the teacher. This is a very easy application to complete. You can access the application at:

Gifted and Talented Program

Gifted and Talented Program nominations are now open for the 2023-2024 school year. These nominations are for students in K, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades. Because 2nd graders all take the COGAT test, their nominations are done in a different way, and it is not necessary for them to be nominated at this time. If you believe your child should be tested for our GT program, please click on the link, fill out the forms on the website under the tab labeled Referral Forms (there will be 3 forms: Referral form, Permission to Test, and Parent Survey) and return them to Mrs. Dupre. Nominations will be accepted until December 15, 2023, and testing will take place between January 23rd and February 3rd. If you have any questions, reach out to Mrs. Dupre, our GT coordinator at ddupre@conroeisd.net.

Bush Bobcats Holiday Assistance

Our Bush Bobcat Family has always been very generous when it comes to helping out our own Bobcats whose families are needing assistance, especially during the holiday season. We want to make the holiday extra special for these families by helping to put gifts under their trees. If you would like to help, please sign-up, using the link below, to bring a gift or two for one or more of the children listed below. You will see each child's age, gender and a few suggested gift ideas. When you choose a child, do not feel obligated to get everything on their list, one or two items from their listed suggestions would be helpful.

Bucks for Bush Fundraiser

Our goal is to raise $85,000 to pay for improvements to our playground, learning tools for our classroom, field trip admissions and other enrichment activities for our students. No more Boosterthon where we have to give away a portion of the funds we raise; with Bucks for Bush we get to keep 100% of the money raised to be invested back into our school. The suggested amount raised by student is $100, and you can invite family and friends to contribute toward your student’s goal. We have some fun class and school-wide incentives and everyone will get to participate if we reach the different goals. To donate and learn more visit BushPTO.com/BucksForBush"

Corporate Matching
