Treaty of Versailles

Signed June 2,1919

Peace Treaty

The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty between five Nations, France, Germany, Britain, Austria-Hungary, and the United States after World War 1.

The peace treaty did not settle all the international disputes which had initiated World War One. On the other hand it tended to hinder inter-European cooperation and make more fractious the underlying issues that had caused the war in the first place.
