SHOUT OUT!
I want to give a HUGE shout out to all the Ebinport staff and students for the awesome community visit today!! Our guests were very impressed with our school, our children and the instruction they saw! Thank you for making today and everyday great! Thank you to those that stepped up to help with discipline while I was in Terrific Kid and The Community Visit! You all remind me daily of why Ebinport is such a special place.
A VERY special THANK YOU to Mary Lou Pundt, Melinda Reid and Kellie VanderMolen for leading tours for the board members today! These ladies got coverage for their classes and did an amazing job giving tours and answering questions! Ebinport is great because we are all willing to do "Whatever it Takes!"

Insurance/Safety Audit
All faculty and staff,
We will be having a visit from the insurance/safety audit company either Wednesday or Thursday this week. Please make sure to have 24" from the top of any cabinets to the ceiling. This means, that boxes stored on top of cabinets will likely have to be stored elsewhere in all areas of the school. Please check the storage areas on your hallway as well as your classrooms. This should be done before leaving Tuesday afternoon.

Valentine's Day Celebrations
Please refer to the email sent last week for information regarding approved items for the Valentine's Day Celebrations.
Erin's Law
Many of you know that a new law has passed called Erin's Law. “Erin’s Law” requires that all public schools in each state implement a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse program which teaches:
- Students in grades preK – 12th grade, age-appropriate techniques to recognize child sexual abuse and tell a trusted adult
- School personnel all about child sexual abuse
- Parents & guardians the warning signs of child sexual abuse, plus needed assistance, referral or resource information to support sexually abused children and their families
Please do not keep children from attending related arts classes for any reason, however, special attention should be given to children attending Guidance when these mandatory lessons are being taught. Special circumstances should be cleared through administration.
Summer PD
Be sure to mark your calendars for the Rock Hill Schools Summer PLC Conference on July 17 and 18, 2017. The featured speaker will be Dr. Anthony Muhammad, a best-selling author and former principal whose schools made huge gains through the implementation of professional learning communities and shift in culture. The dates in July will count as teacher work days, and two exchange days will be scheduled for the 2017-2018 school year. If you have a conflict with these dates, please make contact with me as soon as possible.
Voicemail
We are reestablishing voicemail at Ebinport. This is an integral part of helping families effectively communicate with teachers/staff. Some of you have received emails regarding voicemail. You are welcome to go ahead and set this up. If you didn't receive an email you have likely had voicemail in the past. We will get directions out and a deadline for setting this up once we have all numbers.
