RHHS Wildcats News You Can Use
#WEARERH 8/5/22 #WEARERH
Wildcat Family,
What a great first week of school! Being a part of a community that truly values educational success and the well-being of our students is what makes RHHS great! I hope that your child has shared with you some of the renovations and how truly different the school looks and feels; for this we are truly appreciative of the Bryan County Board of Education!
Additionally, my hope is that your child has come home this week talking to you about their amazing teachers, the positive connections they've made, about the in-depth content being taught and about the vast opportunities to get/stay connected at Richmond Hill High School! If this is not the case, please reach out to me directly! Our goal for ALL students at RHHS is to feel a sense of connectivity and a sense of school pride! After all, this is #ouRHouse.
A few reminders now that your student has settled in, learned their schedule, the lay of the school, etc.:
- 1st Block begins at 7:30 am; 4th Block ends at 2:30 pm. (Tardies counted beginning 8/8)
- Breakfast/Lunch is not "free" this year: Breakfast: $2.25; Lunch $3.25
- Dress Code: If it's made for the beach, ball park or bed leave it at home. No hats, midriffs, short shorts/skirts and absolutely no pajamas! Come prepared to learn!
- Review the traffic patterns, this will protect your child and the other 2,500. Please be considerate and not try to park in the student lots in an effort to avoid the carline - this is not appropriate and impacts our ability to keep all students safe and traffic flowing properly.
Today in advisement students learned more about the opportunities to connect through extracurricular opportunities, I encourage you as a parent to speak with them about what they learned today and also what they look forward to engaging in! As we really dig into the year ahead, I want to challenge each student to engage in an activity, club or athletic team of their interest. Our research has proven time and time again that students that are engaged tend to exhibit the following positive attributes: grades, attendance, behavioral decisions and school pride! The options are abundant and have grown year after year, see the athletics & extracurricular page to determine which activities best suits your interests!

- (22-23) Wildcat Experience Annual Dues – Don’t Delay and make sure you get those paid beginning Monday, July 18, 2022! These dues are an annual fee used to enrich "The Wildcat Experience". These dues provide funding for awards, positive interventions, enrichment activities and events such as prom and graduation ceremonies. All fees are uploaded in MyPaymentsPlus.
We continue to value the partnership we have with the families of our students! If we can ever be of assistance please don't hesitate to reach out, send an email, make a phone call or visit us in person! Our ultimate goal is to make RHHS #ouRHouse, while sustaining a positive culture that is focused on social, emotional and academic success for our students!
See ya, Love ya, Bye!
