Offside

offside short film
What is an offside?
An offside is normally referred to as a mistake. In the short film we had watched two Israeli soldiers and two Palestinians hold each other at gunpoint. They are listening to a soccer game when a soldier accidentally shoots the Palestinian. This erupted into gunfire and all four men were left dead.
Gulf Of Mexico Oil Spill
The oil spill in 2010 had caused billions of dollars in damages. BP had to pay around $40 billion dollars in repairs. About 5 million barrels of oil had been spilled in the gulf. This oil had a strong impact on animals and businesses in the area. This is an example of a huge offside.
Chernobyl Nuclear Explosion
In the Soviet Union there was a nuclear plant that ran into a series of mistakes and ended up radiating miles of land around it. The fallout had reached the atmosphere and was spread around the world. Even today in 2016 it is too radiated to go near the original explosion.
Offsides Cause Conflict
Many conflicts today come out of a misunderstanding. Many times the two or more groups will not see the other side of the conflict. One example would be Israel and Palestine where they both want land for different purposes and almost never cooperate.
2014 Ukrainian Revolution
In Ukraine there was a massive uproar from citizens when the government had cancelled a deal to join the EU and instead made a deal with Russia. The people help peaceful protests but were met with police. The protesters had then decided after a number of beatings to fight back police. This was started because of a single deal with Russia and the last minute cancellation of the EU deal. Nobody would have guessed the amount of fighting that would follow it.
My Offsides
Everybody has gone through some misunderstandings in their life. I often think people are just being jerks but then I realize that they have larger problems than mine.
