The reef is important because it provide protection and shelter for many different species of fish.
What are the impacts on the Great Barrier Reef?
Climate change, crown of thorns starfish, humans, pollution,fishing practices and coral bleaching.
What has been to preserve and protect the great barrier reef
the Australian and Queensland goverment are jointly investing aproximantely $200 million annually in the reefshealth
What can you do to help?
The less water you use the less run off and waste water will pollute our oceans.Don't leave unwanted fishing lines or nets in the water or on the beach.Any kind of litter pollutes the water and can harm the reef and the adorable fish.
