Parents Offering Positive Support (POPS)
Volunteers Needed for Catholic Schools Week: Catholic Schools Week is coming up at the end of the month (January 29 - February 4th)! Catholic Schools week is a great opportunity for us to celebrate our school, faith and what makes us different! To kick off Catholic Schools week, we will be hosting a breakfast to thank the parish for their support. 4 volunteers are needed from 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. to serve and clean up a continental breakfast after Mass.
If you are willing, please contact Caela Brenn (call/text 414-416-9595) or let the school office know. Just an FYI, we really would like to put this on, however this will only occur if we have volunteers.
Notes from our Parish
Saint of the Month - Thomas Aquinas
St. Thomas Aquinas was born in Italy around the year 1224. His father was a count and he had three older brothers and several sisters. When he was nineteen years old he joined the Dominicans, but his family did not want him to be a Dominican monk. So when Thomas was on the road, his brothers came with a troop of soldiers and kidnapped him. They kept him imprisoned in a castle for two years, but during that time Thomas studied theology and memorized large sections of the bible, and his family eventually let him go.
