Dear Parents,
Wow, what a busy week we have had! Our school year has flown by before our eyes and in just 4 more days, our young minds will be ready for a new chapter in their life...KINDERGARTEN!
The class has been taking some time to reflect on the great work they have done together this year and how the PreK 4 experience has prepared them for the transition to a new school year.
They are continuing to focus on their skills in all learning areas. We are discussing how to be good friends and the different emotions they are having towards the end of this year.
On Wednesday, we also had the opportunity to visit one of the Kindergarten classrooms and get to know their setting, activities and answer many other questions that the kids had.
We asked them the following questions:
How is kindergarten like preschool?
How is it different?
Which of these look like a classroom?
How many syllables are in the word kindergarten?
In addition, we are reviewing math and literacy concepts during our morning meetings and small group time.
