(Smooth Brain)


  • Children with Lissencephaly depends on the degree of the brain malformation. Many kids die before they reach 10 years old. The cause of their deaths are usually aspiration of foods and fluids, respiratory disease, or severe seizures. Some may survive, but show no significant development - usually not beyond a 3 - 5 month-old level. Others may have near-normal development and intelligence. Effect on the Brain
