Welcome to the 3rd Nine Weeks, Kranz Gators!
2021 brought us Student Council Winter Themed Week, the Blind Date with a Book Program, The District Spelling Bee, Black History Month, Valentine's Day, and Spring Break. As we wrap up the third nine weeks and head into Spring Break, many of you have expressed feelings of apprehension because of what happened during last year's Spring Break with COVID-19. Rest assured that no matter what happens, we will make it through and be Better Together!
Blind Date with a Book
From February 1 to Friday, March 12, your KJHS Library sponsored a program called “Blind Date with a Book”. The program display was set up in the library and was promoted through the ELA Department.
We appreciate the tremendous success and support for the program, and we hope that students received the message that judging a book by its cover can cause one to miss out on some great books.

Valentine's Day
Each year on February 14th, people exchange cards, candy, or flowers with their special “valentine.” St. Valentine’s Day is named for a Christian martyr and dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia.
