ISSAQUAH VALLEY: STUDENT MATERIALS PICKUP
Teachers and paraprofessionals are in the process of organizing student materials for pickup. Materials will be available for pickup on either Monday, June 15th or Tuesday, June 16th. Families will come to school at the allotted time – the time is based on the student’s last name (see table below). It is essential that you come during your assigned time slot to help minimize any delays.
HOW WILL THE MATERIALS PICKUP WORK?
To maintain the safety of our staff, please drive to school to pick up your student’s items. The designated area for pickup is the pickup/drop off lane – drive past the front of the school and continue around to the south side of the building driving towards the field. The pickup area will be clearly marked. When you pick up your student materials, be prepared to share your last name, teacher name, and grade of your student(s). Linked HERE is a car tag template we would like you to complete and post on the passenger side dashboard. You can make your own sign if that’s easier. We will pass the student materials through the passenger side window.
We will not be able to socialize or help trouble shoot other concerns as you pick-up students personal materials. We want to ensure everyone will be able to get their items without any delays within their designated time slots. Thank you for understanding.
MEDICATION
Medication will also NEED to be returned to families at this time. Please pull forward to the medication station which will be located by the field after the student materials pickup area and show your car tag. The health room attendant will gather your student’s labeled medication baggie, show it to you through the window and ask for verification, then she will sign off on your medication return. If unable to attend during the return times, you will need to contact our Nurse to arrange an alternate plan for medication pickup (Kristi Lincicome, lincicomek@issaquah.wednet.edu). Medications left in the health room past June 19th, with no prior arrangements, will be destroyed.
LIBRARY BOOKS AND TEACHER MATERIALS
During the student materials pick-up, you will be able to return any library books your student has checked out or any materials that belong to your child’s classroom teacher. Please clearly label any items for the classroom teacher with the teacher’s name. A staff member will take these items and ensure they are returned to the library or your student’s teacher.
Soon you will receive a reminder from the librarian of which books are currently checked out by your student. Please check your email. See the video below from Ms. Erlitz (one of our librarians) on ideas for where students can look for their library books.
FEES
Have you checked your child’s PayOnline account to see if there are any fees that are due?
It is very important to check your child’s account frequently throughout the year as fees will be attached as events occur. Fees will stay attached to your child’s account until cleared by payment. All fees must be cleared before the last day of school.
You can access PayOnline through this link, the school’s website or the district main page.
