More than a school, we ARE a FAMILY!
Mission Statement
St. Anthony Catholic School celebrates each individual as a unique child of God, provides a safe, Christ-centered environment that promotes cultural diversity, academic achievement, and challenges each of us to serve the school, parish, and community.
St. Anthony Catholic School and Accreditation
As part of this program, we participate in a self-study which challenges us to constantly and continually improve the school using a consistent set of standards and benchmarks. The standards are divided into four domains: Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Operational Vitality. You can learn more about the accreditation process here: https://www.eas-ed.org/accreditation-program
In a seven year cycle we have two different visits. April 7, 2022 we will have a team of visitors with us to conduct our Third Year Review. This team will our check progress and observe in the classrooms. A member of the visiting team may stop you in the car line to ask you questions about the school. We are excited to share St. Anthony Catholic School and our School Family with our visiting team.

Keeping Lent
Lent offers us the opportunity to focus on the three spiritual pillars of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. We will learn about Lent at school, beginning with Ash Wednesday - March 2 and continues through April 14, 2022.
You can learn more about Lent and how to celebrate it as a family here:

Pope Francis has a beautiful message about Lent in his letter.
Pope Francis' message for Lent 2022: Let us not grow tired of doing good... sow seeds of goodness
St. Anthony's Catholic Church and School have access to the Amen app. It is a wonderful spiritual tool filled with prayers, meditation and scripture for all ages.
Another great source is FORMED (https://formed.org/). This websites offers movies, programs, audio, and books free to you. It is a gift from St. Anthony Parish.
Cereal Collection
Along with the act of giving that is so important for children to learn we will also be participating in some fun educational activities that will tie into the cereal boxes. The more boxes we have the better! Stay tuned to see what fantastic activity it is that we have planned.
Prayer for Peace in Ukraine
Reveal Your mercy, O Lord, and let the words spoken by Moses unto the people of Israel be applied to us: “Fear not. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. For the Lord shall fight for us.” (Exodus 14:13-14) Work for us a sign for good, that they who are filled with hatred may see our faith and be humbled and shaken.
For You are the health and victory and salvation of them that put their hope in You, and unto You do we send up glory: to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Scholarships
It’s almost time for current Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC), Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) and Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) families to secure their student’s 2022-23 scholarship. (Applications for new families will become available shortly thereafter.)
As you know, the FTC, FES-EO and FES-UA programs are once-in, always-in meaning a student’s eligibility does not need to be determined each year, as long as the student remains on the scholarship.
STAY TUNED: Current FTC, FES-EO and FES-UA families will be able to complete your student's “Intent to Continue” for the 2022-23 school year in April. They will let you know when it's time so please continue to monitor your email.
McKay families, you also need to watch your email.
