Book ReviewsIn writing we have been learning about opinion writing by writing book reviews. The students put a sample on Seesaw this last week. | Pig the Pug Series Our author study this week was on Aaron Blabey. We read a variety of Pig the Pug books and the students loved it! The students are also bringing home their very own copy to keep! | Thank you! I just wanted to thank all of you who brought me many goodies on Valentines Day! It was very thoughtful. |

Theme Week/100th Day of School
Tuesday Feb. 21st: Dress like you are 100 years old!
Wednesday Feb. 22nd: Wearable Words (wear a shirt with words)
Thursday Feb. 23rd: I'm Crazy about Reading (wear crazy socks, crazy hair, crazy dress)
Friday Feb. 24th: Warm up with a good book (bring a blanket, comfy clothes, or PJ's to school)
What did we learn this week?
Writing: The students are continuing to draw two pictures and write two sentences on their own. We talked about staying on topic with multiple sentences. We are also learning about opinion writing by doing book reviews!
Phonics: We continued to work on CVC words but also began working on blends in words.
Math: We talked about the difference between 2D and 3D shapes.
