Principal News: Digital Learning Days Special Edition
First, and most importantly...I hope you are all well and safe!!
We will begin Week 2 of digital learning next week, which will be followed by GCPS' scheduled Spring Break (March 30-April 3). All GCPS events and activities are cancelled until further notice. This includes all school events, extracurricular activities, school-related trips, community school events, and facility rentals. Teachers will be providing and leading lessons using eCLASS and digital learning tasks.
At Stripling ES, we want to make sure that we're doing everything possible to support our students and our community during this time. If your child (or you) need any Digital Learning Day support, the best place to start is to contact your child's teacher through eCLASS or an email. Our teachers have put a lot of thought and planning into the Digital Learning Day (DLD) tasks for students. Teachers will upload tasks to their eCLASS pages by 9AM, and they will monitor questions and comments during the day each day this week.
If you have not already received this information, GCPS will provide lunch for pick up for anyone 18 years of age or younger between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 68 schools within the county. A full list of the sites is available at this link. These lunches will be provided at no cost to the individual through the federal School Nutrition Program. The student or child must be present to receive the meal. A child does not have to be a student at the school site to receive a meal. Again, select schools will have student lunches available for pick up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. every day this week, March 16-20 and next week. In addition to Stripling Elementary being a site, Baldwin Elementary, Beaver Ridge Elementary, Norcross Elementary, Peachtree Elementary, Summeour Middle, Pinckneyville Middle, Norcross HS, and Paul Duke HS are school sites. These lunches will be provided at no cost to students through the federal School Nutrition Program (during March 23th-27th). Please note that these meals will not be provided during Spring Break (March 30-April 3).
I hope that everyone is, and remains, well during this time. Please tell your children we love them, we miss them, and we look forward to seeing them when they return.

How Do I Access Digital Learning Pages?
All Digital Learning Days activities are on your teacher eCLASS course pages or are linked to that page. Should you need assistance locating these assignments please contact your child's teacher. Students are familiar with eCLASS and should know the location of their teachers page and the activities.
Parents and students who need a refresher course on how to access eCLASS C&I course pages can go to the following web page for helpful resources and information:
