You may register your child(ren) online starting July 1st. If you have any questions about this process, please let us know. GVS Staffing for 2022-2023
Due to the decrease in our enrollment, I would like to inform all stakeholders that we have lost a teaching position at GVS for the 2022-23 school year. Next year, we will have four certified teaching positions, two at the secondary level and 2 at the elementary level. Fortunately, Mrs. Hitchcock applied for the open 0.5 Tudor Advisor position and was hired to return next fall! She will be teaching HS American History, HS English, and MS English next year. We are so excited to have her returning as a continuing member of our staff!
Awards Ceremony and 8th Grade Promotion
On the last day of school, May 20th, we will be celebrating the end to a great year of learning! We would like our community and families to join us in congratulating our students. We will be holding our 8th grade promotion and awards ceremony starting at 11:15am in the gym. Following our ceremony, we will hold our annual picnic for the students and community, where we will have food, fun, and games for all that come out to join us.
For our potluck picnic, we ask families to bring a large salad/side dish. Please let us know if you have any questions. The school will be providing hamburgers, hotdogs, buns, condiments, paper products and some drinks (water, coffee, lemondade).
May 18 – “The Art Café”
As a reward for all the hard work the students did for our Winter Program, we will have an all-day field trip to “The Art Café” in Palmer. Students will find their creative side and work on a mosaic piece that they will be able to take home. We will return to school for the normal dismissal time. Please make sure you sign the permission slip and return to school. We will have school lunch available, or you can pack a lunch for that day.
PLEASE RETURN ALL SCHOOL ITEMS
This is a reminder to please have students return their computers, their family's charging cords, library books, school materials, and any other items that may be property of the school. We need those returned this week. If items are missing, students may be charged for repair/replacement of those items.

GARDENING DAY FOR 2-5TH GRADE FAMILIES

Mrs. Taylor and Ms. Parsons will be at the school for planting on June 11th at 11am. We are inviting students and their families to join us for this GRAND PLANTING EVENT. We only need people here to get our garden beds in and growing. Again, please join us for a day of planting so we can share our harvest in the fall when we return to school!
