Campus Ministry and Community Outreach

Our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders participated in the first Campus Ministry session. The theme was: Social Justice and Catholic Social Teaching. 6th graders made 150 sunshine bags, 7th graders made 200 sunshine bags and 8th graders made 150 sunshine bags for donation through Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth and Street Teens. Thank you to Rosy Hartz, St. Viator Coordinator of Youth Ministry and Faith Formation. Our students collected items for this project and had an important retreat experience. Their personal notes of encouragement to these teens were amazing. Thank you!

Micah Campaign

This weekend, our St. Viator Parish second collection was offered to benefit the school MICAH Program. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me". We did not take him to mean the bright, pretty, talented children, rather ALL children are a gift from God.

Eight years ago, we created a special needs program based upon the scripture verse Micah 6:8: Act Justly, Love Tenderly, and Walk Humbly with God. Our program serves children with Downs Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Epilepsy. While SOME see these students as ones with disabilities, we only see possibilities. We are seeking your prayers and, if you are able, a donation to keep the program alive at St. Viator. Please pray for us and thank you for your consideration.
