Key Advisement & Schedule Planning Meetings Next Week for 9th-11th graders
11th grade Meeting will be Thursday, November 16th 6-7:30pm via Teams
All 11th grade students and at least one adult family member should plan to attend our Junior Advisement and Schedule Planning Meeting next week on Thursday, November 16th from 6-7:30pm. We are excited to begin planning next steps in your college & career journey as well as an awesome senior year for the Class of 2025!

(Note that we will discuss DE at our RMSST meeting and students who are new to Dual Enrollment will have an alternative option to get district information on DE as the Advanced Academics meeting below will be more general and appropriate for 9th-10th grade families.)

Career Day Sign Up- Last Chance! Due tonight by 8pm or you will be assigned to available sessions
We are delighted to have 23 professionals with diverse careers coming to speak at Magnet's Career Day this Friday from 12:15pm-1:03pm. Please sign up for 1 session at 12:15pm and 1 session at 12:40pm using the link below. Please make your choice by Thursday night at 8pm.

Note that students in a RCHS class 3B on Friday may participate with teacher permission and should obtain a pass from the RMSST Front Office in advance. Students who attend RCA on B days will need to attend their regularly scheduled classes but know that we will have more career exploration opportunities both at Magnet and RCA.
Chick Fil A Biscuits on sale tomorrow
Our one and only Chick-fil-A biscuit sale for the month of November is tomorrow
Friday, November 10. The Fund is only ordering 100 biscuits so be sure to head directly to a station at class change if you would like one!

RCA Interest Form for Next School Year
Attention current 9th graders! Are you interested in starting a pathway at RCA? Now is the time to sign up. See the note below from RCA about their interest form:
"This form is only intended for new RCA students. SUBMISSION OF THE FORM DOES NOT GUARANTEE ADMISSION TO THE SCHOOL. Please fill it out completely after taking your virtual tour. New students will receive more information from their high school counselors regarding the next steps of the scheduling process soon.
If you currently attend RCA and want to continue in your pathway, add a pathway, drop a pathway or end your enrollment you do not need to fill out this form. Continuing students who want to remain at RCA will automatically be placed in their next class. Continuing students may contact their home school counselors regarding changes to next year's schedule."

College Visits Continue- check Canvas, Remind, & Bulletin Board for upcoming schools
All RMSST college visits occur during 5th lunch from 1:03PM - 1:30 PM. Students in class at RCHS or in need of grabbing a lunch are able obtain a pass from Ms. Harris, Ms. Lindsey, or Ms. Kabance in the front office prior to 3rd block the day of any visit.
These are information sessions that provide benefits to all 9th-12th graders. As such, Mrs. Baskett has set the expectations below for each student's participation:
- 9th graders- Attend 1 or more
- 10th graders- Attend 2 or more
- 11th graders- Attend at least 5 or as many as your schedule allows
- 12th graders- Attend at least 5 AND for every college already on your list
Students who meet the expectations by December will be entered in a raffle for 4 gift cards. Students will get a choice in what gift cards are raffled through the sign in form at each session.
Note that students are responsible for any worked missed due to attending a college visit should they not have 5th lunch. Quizzes and tests should take priority.
FREE Extended Tutorial Available Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday
See below for this week's extended tutorial teachers and/or counselors. Keep in mind that even if the teacher/subject you need is not listed, any of the adults can help you make a tutor.com appointment or give you general direction on making the most of your study time.

RMSST Reads: The 1,000 Book Challenge
- First class to 1,000 earns a popsicle dance party.
- Class with largest number of books read by April wins prize.
Who is in the lead this week
- 10th grade has surged ahead but there is time for the other grades to catch up!
- Faculty & Staff are in the lead overall
We will continue tracking progress on the bulletin board by the breezeway exit to the Square.

Grades are updated regularly and the 9 week progress report grades have been posted by all teachers in Infinite Campus. Please review your student's progress and discuss their plan for success regularly.
