What is Constitution Day?

Constitution Day is celebrated on September 17th to commemorate the signing of the Constitution on September 17, 1787. Federal regulations require schools to provide lessons to celebrate this day with their students each year. Check out what these high school students think about the Constitution in this video clip.

Constitution Day Poster Contest

Students design a poster that shows how they or their family benefit from the freedoms embodied in the U.S. Constitution. This poster contest is open to all students in grades K-12. Winners will be chosen from each grade level. Entries must be postmarked by October 1, 2015 .

Constitution Challenge

Students can test their knowledge on the U.S. Constitution individually or in groups. Each challenge is 25 questions long and takes about 10 minutes to complete. Let the challenges begin! Click here to start a Constitution Challenge.
