Bureaucratic control Research/Essay

What is Bureaucratic control? How is our society a Bureaucracy? What is red tape? How does the government control us through, relentless regulations, and laws? How would life be without a structured Government? Is Bureaucratic control always bad? These are questions many ask themselves everyday. Bureaucratic control, is when the government is using rules, laws, regulation, and secrets to keep our society stable, and in order. In my opinion, the government is their to instill fear, structure, and control on our society, in both good and bad ways. There are three types of people in this world in my opinion; people who agree with most to all parts of government control, like people in the government who makes the rules, the people who completely disagree, and want to live by their own rules, with no government, and or people who fall in the middle, like me, who agree with the government laws are to protect, us and some areas are unnecessarily monitored. The government may think they are doing the best for this world, but they are sometimes greedy for information, secrets, and obedience. The government uses things like communications, media/press, public education, various electronic devices to control, and sometimes protect the public.

Not all government surveillance is bad, or purposely trying to humiliate, or spy on the public. People usually do not notice this, but when you use your GPS in your phone or built into your car, since GPS is a government funded project to send you real-time tracking of your location, through satellites, the government records it. There is nothing wrong with this for most people, due to the fact that we would be completely lost, literally. But, flipping the switch, to an huge concern from the public, incessant rules, regulations, and or laws. The Justice Department list approximately 3,000 criminal offenses, the United States code is broken into 51 titles in multiple volumes, and 40,627 new laws in the United States alone. In my and many peoples eyes there is no reason to have so many laws and regulation, this shows there's something wrong with the governments ability to control, with the few, and they are trying to strangle the public. For instance, The code of Federal Regulations has increased by 11, 327 pages, and 38,000 new final rules. These massive amounts of laws, rules, and regulations are like the Affordable care act, Federal Gun laws, and Immigrant laws, seem to be not letting us live freely, in this country people migrate to, to be free.

As far as surveillance of the public, the National Security Agency (NSA) has complete control of what they know about us, and what we know. William Binney is a high leveled whistle-blower from the NSA. “He was lead code-breaker against the Soviet Union during the Cold War.” He reveals, At least 80% of fiber-optic cables globally go via the US”, Binney said. “This is no accident and allows the US to view all communication coming in. At least 80% of all audio calls, not just metadata, are recorded and stored in the US. The NSA lies about what it stores.” He described the future of the government as “intrusion unlimited”, and “the ultimate goal of the NSA is the total population control.’’ Binney praises former NSA contractor Edward Snowden as well, for standing up. “It shows that the NSA is not just pursuing terrorism, as it claims, but ordinary citizens going about their daily communications. “The NSA is mass-collecting on everyone”, Binney said, “and it’s said to be about terrorism but inside the US it has stopped zero attacks.” So when you think you are in your home, completely safe, secure and not being watched, the NSA could be listening to your private conversation, and text messages, to your mother, boyfriend, or doctor.

In conclusion, the government has complete intent to be the only one in control, and still fool the world into thinking it is a Utopia. The NSA surveillance, GPS tracking, education, and rules/laws controls us in both good and bad ways. Imagine having no structure or government, people stealing your land, money, rapping and killing innocent people, not being thought of as human beings in some cases, etc. Then imagine, no freedom, just roles, more jail, due to more laws to break. No one is perfect, I’m pretty sure President Obama has broken several of the minor laws he probably signed off on.
