Eunice Junior High School- Congratulations to the following students for being named as Mrs. Brown's Top Typers in IBCA. These 7th and 8th graders had the highest words per minute + accuracy rate among their peers. Each group had on average 60+ words per minute typed with 98% accuracy or higher.

Park Vista Elementary School Faculty, Staff, Students and Parents Support and Bring Awareness to Sickle Cell Anemia
Every Friday during the month of September was designated as Sickle Cell Awareness Day at PVE. Faculty, staff, students and parents wore burgundy or black shirts to support the cause and bring awareness. Teachers shared information about the disease with their students. The school also supported the 4th Annual Don Vallien Sickle Cell Awareness Event on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Some faculty, staff and students participated in the walk.

The 7th grade class of Washington Elementary was asked to complete a Social Studies project on the “Corn Cake” with their parents by their teacher Mr. Stagg to represent what the Americans ate during the 18th century.
After the science unit on energy, the fourth-grade students built a working Rube Goldberg machine.
The fireman from Fire District 3 visited the PreK - 4th Grade classes of Washington Elementary to inform them of safe practices in the event of an actual fire. Students were provided with resources and mementos from the fire department.
