¿Qué pasa en la clase de español?
What's happening in Spanish class?
Un repaso intenso
Both Esp II and Esp III-H have been doing extensive review of vocabulary and grammar from previous levels. ESP II reviewed the verb SER (to be) and adjectives as well as present tense. They completed a project to include information about their characteristics, activities with friends, and things they never do. ESP III-H has also reviewed grammar such as present tense irregular verbs, verbs like gustar, and reflexives to describe daily routines. Likewise, they have completed a project about themselves using prezi to present and voki or vocaroo for voice recording. I am very pleased with all the effort and attention to detail everyone put into these projects.
Overwhelmed? Keep calm!
As you move from level to level in language study, the rigor become more intense, the expectations are greater, and the material is more complex. Daily study and review as well as paying attention and being in class every day will be beneficial to your success.
Appreciate diversity!
Part of learning a language is learning about and being tolerant of it's culture, too. Did you know that Argentines greet and say good-bye to one another with a hug and kiss on the cheek? While we Americans see it as a great invasion of our personal space, Argentines find it rude not to use the kiss on the cheek - even with people they just met!
Why learn Spanish?
