1. Settling next to river valleys.
Settling next to river valleys gave access to a surplus of food so not everyone had to be a farmer allowing society to have other jobs. Settling next to river valleys was the best thing that ancient civilizations did, by settling next to river valleys, they received plentiful amounts of water, had fertile soil, enabling them to have excellent farming and agriculture. Creating other jobs than farming established levels of society, wealth classes, and was the start of modern day culture. With the new levels of society leading to how we are in the modern day, settling next to river valleys and having fertile soil was the most important step we took in the early civilizations.
2. Agriculture
In order for humans to settle down the area needs to have good Agriculture. Agriculture is what a Civilization eats, stuff like corn, cabbage, pumpkins and animals. Agriculture slowly developed during the process of slowly domesticating wild grasses, which eventually turned into domesticating animals as well.. With the discovery of Agriculture it allowed us as a species to transform from Hunter- Gathers to Civilizations. Without Agriculture we would have stayed as Hunter-Gathers and not have any time to develop as we did.
3. Language Arts
Language and Writing laid down the foundation for human progress. Language arts allowed early humans to communicate efficiently, record significant events, and create artistic landmarks in history. Writing made every interaction between humans more complex and civilized. An uniform language allowed easier communication which meant everything was simpler. It allowed people to start becoming educated in some way, increasing their intelligence and laying the pathway to modern day civilization.
4. Hunter Gatherers
Since hunter gatherers came up with creative ideas to form weapons to catch animals and other resources. Hunter gathers just didn't hunt for food in rivers, they also hunted for wild animals as well. But overall, at that time, that era was advancing and was growing into a slightly advanced era since the hunter gathers were learning how to create weapons from stones and carving. Basically leading to development of advance technology we know today which is why hunter gatherers are important. Another reason why is because, hunter gatherers came up with creative ideas by establish being in groups so that they would find food and water to help feed there family and children. The reason why they do this is so that it would be faster to find food and other resources. Especially villages that live near water as well which was also important. This is why hunter gatherers were important in ancient civilizations.
5. Trade
Developing trade amongst early civilizations was the ancestor of business. Business today is very complex and increasingly innovative with new strategies and ways of turning a profit. In the ways ancient civilizations engaged in trade, it either was for a form of currency like gold or silver or for materials such as livestock, equipment, and luxury items. That was called the bartering system, when their was no currency involved, just trading and swapping things. Trade increased human interaction which allowed cultures to mix, and bring nations together in commerce.
