Principal's Message...
Tis' the season to be busy! From turkeys to candy canes, the holiday season can sure be one with a lot of hustle and bustle.
Although this time of year can be filled with joy and excitement for children, it can also be a time of stress and anxiety for them, as well, because normal everyday routines can be interrupted with our busy schedules, extra family gatherings and disrupted routines like regular bedtimes, etc.
When children are tired, anxious or stressed, they can exhibit new or challenging behaviors in response to being overstimulated. One way we can keep students focused on important instruction, is to be sure they are set up for success. It is helpful for them to get plenty of sleep and to be prepared for any changes in their schedule or routine.
Downtime, or playtime is also very important. Recess will continue to be outdoors, throughout the season, as long as it is not too cold and safe for them to do so. If for some reason our schoolyard is not plowed or it is too icy, recess will need to be indoors. If not, please expect that children will be outdoors during recess. Students may also play in the snow, as long as they have the proper snow gear- boots, snow pants, etc. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
It's a special time of year, full of kindness and holiday spirit. I want to thank the PTO for planning and executing another successful and festive holiday fair! I was attending a conference with the Commissioner and the Governor to help "Chart the Course" for creating a "World Class Education" for our students in RI, but I heard our event was a huge success!
Wishing everyone an amazing week and hope we all embrace these busy times with kindness and balance.
With gratitude,
~Mrs. Komocar

Peace Dale's Construction Updates!
I am excited to announce that Peace Dale construction will be 95% complete by the end of this week! The construction workers will be working second shift throughout the week. Once the project is finished, normal routines and travel to this part of the building will need to change. Please begin to address these changes with students and show them how to access the main office and/or nurse, etc.
Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
