Seattle University

Greetings from Wellness and Health Promotion,

My name is Ryan Hamachek and I work with a group of student leaders called the Health and Wellness Crew to make sure you stay as healthy as possible while you're here at SU!

As you gear up for the fall we want you to reflect on your current drinking (or lack thereof) and we've got a great way for you to do it online, at your convenience! We require all incoming students to complete this, so please read through this message carefully.

Simply, take 20-30 minutes to complete the anonymous eCHECKUP TO GO and review your personalized feedback. Once you've finished, I encourage you to have conversations with your family about expectations as you make your way to SU!

University expectations and policies can be found here: Code of Student Conduct and Resident Handbook. Enjoy the rest of your summer, I'll see you in the fall.

Be well,

Ryan Hamachek, Director of Wellness and Health Promotion

Alcohol eCHECKUP TO GO: Introduction

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3

  1. Visit the Seattle University eCHECKUP TO GO website
  2. Complete the eCHECKUP by September 15, 2013
  3. Verify completion of your eCHECHUP TO GO on the final feedback page

Electronic Verification

Your eCHECKUP remains anonymous even with electronic verification! After you've finished your assessment and reviewed your feedback you'll have the option to verify your completion by providing your name, SU email address, and SU ID number.

If you have questions about this process, please contact Ryan Hamachek, Director of Wellness and Health Promotion at Seattle University at (206) 296-2593.

TIP: Save your eCHECKUP TO GO User ID

Please print or write down your ID number (I saved mine in my phone). If for any reason your electronic verification doesn't come through, you can simply log back in and resend.

Also, this ID allows you to review your anonymous results whenever you like and can help you track your drinking over time.

Do I have to?!?

Yup, you do. We require all incoming students to complete the eCHECKUP and will follow up with students who don't complete it by the September 15, 2013 deadline.

Please don't hesitate to call if you have any questions!
