He said he had no reason to be anti-Semitic.when he was 17 he read an American book that changed his perspective on German youth. But at age 18 he met Adolf Hitler Baldur Von Dhirach was inspired by Hitler and became one of his best supporters.
Background information
He was born in Berlin and later on in his life became a Hitler youth group leader. And surrendered in 1945 and was put on trial at Nuremberg and he was one of two men to denounce Hitler. He said he did not know about the extermination camps.

He was sentenced to 20 years in prison. He was released from span day prison in 1966. He died in 1974 at the the age 67.
