FOR 22-23 SCHOOL YEAR.- Calendar two was approved at the special
Board Meeting on April 1st
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON REPORT OF FACILITY
IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES- Old Sandie Gym has a fresh coat of
paint; First event scheduled in renovated Lorena Shoultz Auditorium
HS One Act Play for April 3rd); Postponed move of PreK 3 to Old
Elementary Wing;
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE THE QUARTERLY

SCHOOL ATTORNEYS- Walsh Gallegos was approved as our school
attorney again for 22-23.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE BELT, HARRIS,
PECHACEK AS FINANCIAL AUDITORS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-23-
Belt-Harris- Pechacek was approved as financial auditors.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE AN AMENDED
INTERLOCAL PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH TASB RISK
MANAGEMENT FUND- Approved by Board
CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS.
Approval of Financial Report - Approve minutes from the Regular Board Meeting on February 21, 2022.

CONSIDER AND TAKE ANY ACTION DEEMED NECESSARY IN
RESPONSE TO PARENT AND EMPLOYEE GRIEVANCE
PRESENTATIONS HEARD IN CLOSED SESSION (ITEMS XII.B/ XII.C)-
The Board heard 2 Level III greviences and resolved the greviances
successfully with action items assigned to District Admin office.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE PROFESSIONAL
PERSONNEL- Board approved the hiring of Zeke Green as teacher
and girls basketball coach; Karleigh Stananland as elementary
teacher; Channin Spisak- JH Principal. Kristi Bell will also be Director
of Curriculum and Instruction for beginning in 22-23.
On April 1st, The Board recovened to approve teacher
contracts. Contracts have been sent to campuses for signatures.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE
RESIGNATIONS OF GISD PERSONNEL- Board accepted the
retirement of Sherri Kendrick (39 years, 28 in GISD; the
resignations of Laynie Carnell, Jana Nealy, Blake Doughty, Katie
Doughty, Elizabeth Conner.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING POLICY DC
LOCAL IN WHICH THE BOARD DELEGATES THE AUTHORITY TO
EMPLOY CLASSROOM TEACHERS TO THE SUPERINTENDENT TO
EMPLOY CLASSROOM TEACHERS ON A PROBATIONARY CONTRACT FROM MARCH 29TH THRU JULY 31ST. THE SUPERINTENDENT SHALL INFORM THE BOARD OF ANY PROSPECTIVE HIRES BEFORE EXERCISING THIS AUTHORITY- Superintendent Jackson was given the authority to hire personnel in between Board Meetings.
