STAAR Testing Days
Due to the state STAAR Testing on Tuesday, April 10th and Wednesday, April 11th, our campus will be closed to volunteers and all parent lunches on these dates. Thank you for your support.

Weekly Homework
Reading Homework
Have your child:
1. Listen to the story by Eric Carle "The Very Hungry Catepillar".
2. What would you do if you were a catepillar? Write about it.
*Make sure your sentence(s) makes sense, has spaces between words, and punctuation at the end.
Math Homework
Monday - Practice ordering objects by their capacity from "holds the most" to "holds the least". Watch the video below. Find 5 containers in your home. Put them in order from "holds the most" to "holds the least".
Tuesday - Practice comparing the capacity of 2 objects. Watch the video below. Find 2 containers in your home. Compare their capacity. Record your findings by writing a sentence and adding an illustration.
ex: The bathtub holds more than the coffee mug.
Wednesday - Practice measuring the capacity of objects in your house. Pick a non-standard unit of measure (scoop or measuring cup). Walk around your house and measure 5 items. Refer to the rules pictured further below. Record your findings by drawing a picture of the object and its capacity.
ex: The bucket holds 10 scoops.
Thursday - No homework. Have a great weekend!
Friday - No school.
*Challenge: Use a measuring cup to measure each day and record your findings using numbers.
ex: The coffee cup holds 2 cups.
