- How do I determine what the best process is to develop my understanding in a meaningful way?
Monday, 1/16
No School! Happy MLK Day!
- You were sent home with Morocco's speech to paraphrase, which is your entrance ticket to class on Tuesday. In regards to paraphrasing, I should see evidence of the steps we have practiced on your document. As a major focus of this unit is determining what learning processes work best for you, it is of utmost importance that you truly delve into the different processes we are practicing. Looking up a single word’s definition is a wonderful process in developing understanding - simply looking up someone else’s paraphrase of the play will not help you develop understanding and will ultimately cripple you!
- You can find all of these steps on slide 5 of this presentation
- This Friday we watched Act 2 or Merchant of Venice. If you missed on Friday you can visit Schoology under the folder “Watch Merchant of Venice” and find Act 2 to watch over the weekend.
- We also assigned paraphrasing of Morocco’s speech for homework. This will be an entrance ticket to class on Tuesday when you return. You can find the document in Schoology. Make sure to print it out and have it ready when you come to class on Tuesday.
