We hope you can join us for our reader's theater productions in our classroom. We want to have enough seats ready for all our guests, so please let us know if you are able to make it. Grandparents and siblings are welcome as well.

RSVPs are enabled for this event.

Writer's Workshop

All personal narratives are due tomorrow morning. We will spend time this week sharing our stories.

We started learning about a new style of writing last week. We read several examples of persuasive writing. This week students will pick a topic to write about for their own persuasive piece.

There is no multiplication test this week!

We will wrap up Topic 7 this week. Our topic test will be on Wednesday. Students will bring home the Topic 7 practice test for homework on Tuesday night.

Students met with their Egg Drop teams on Friday to begin brainstorming ideas for their Egg Drop Capsule. The purpose of the experiment is for students to design a capsule that will help their egg survive the force of gravity as it is launched from the roof of the PSE building. Students need to look around the house to find materials that they can build their capsule with. We will build the capsules in class on Wednesday. They don't need to bring an egg to school. That is the one material that I will provide. All other materials must come from home. Due to the mess that could be created, no materials inside the egg capsules will come home. Please do not send any materials to school that you want to come back home.

Wilderness Science Center Field Trip

Tuesday, Dec. 15th, 9-11:30am

Blue Valley Wilderness Science Center

Tuesday morning we will visit the Wilderness Science Center again to learn about Kansas mammals and their survival skills. This field trip will be indoors. Students need to wear their yellow PSE shirt. We will be back in time to enjoy lunch at school, so no sack lunch is needed.
I hope you all have a wonderful winter break. Enjoy time with family and friends. Wishing you all the best for a happy and healthy New Year!
