Meet our Crew!

Ms. Mott ~ 5th Grade
Hello! I am Megan Mott and I am super excited to be joining the Buckhorn team! I was born and raised in the beautiful Garden State, New Jersey. I attended Rutgers University and Moravian College where I earned degrees in both Psychology and Elementary Education. Upon graduation, I starting teaching 5th grade in the same school where I attended as an elementary school student. I stayed in that district for my entire New Jersey career teaching grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. I had the most amazing students and keep in touch with many of them today. In 2017, my family and I moved to North Carolina where I continued my teaching career.
When I am not teaching, I love going to the beach, playing with my two dogs (Ruby and Piper), travelling to New York City, watching Broadway shows (Hamilton is my new favorite), and having a magical time at Disney World with my husband and daughter.
Ms. Dudding ~ 3rd Grade
I am from New Caledonia, a French colony on the other side of the world. I moved to New Zealand at the age of 17 and lived there 16 years. My husband is a New Zealander and we have two children. We moved to North Carolina in 2002 and the four of us are now proud to be American citizens! I attended Canterbury University in New Zealand where I received my Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Management. I spent several years working as an engineer designing software for electronic devices. Because of my passion for teaching children, I decided, later on, to become a teacher.
I received my certification in teaching at William Peace University in Raleigh, North Carolina and started working for the Wake County Public School System in 2007. Thanks to the travelling I have done around the world, I enjoy incorporating my multi-cultural background into my instruction in order to give my students the chance to discover and appreciate other cultures. When I am not at school, I love to cook, exercise, and spend time with my family.
Ms. Williams ~ Physical Education
I am a native of Wake County. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Physical Education and a Master’s Degree from Minnesota State University. I began my teaching career at Willow Springs Elementary. I moved to Tampa Florida where I taught elementary physical education at a Charter School. While there I earned my National Board Certification in 2009. In 2018 I moved back to North Carolina and again was fortunate enough to teach once again at Willow Springs Elementary. I am excited for the amazing opportunity to join the Buckhorn Creek community.
When I am not at school I can be found riding my mountain bike, hiking or spending quality time with my family. I am so excited to be a part of the Buckhorn Creek family and inspire our students to engage in a physically active lifestyle.
