Roosevelt Weekly Parent Info
Hello Roosevelt families! A few brief reminders for the week--thanks for taking the time to stay in the know:
• There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 21 due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
• FYI: Looking to get a head start on spring cleaning? Do you have any kids games or fidgets lying around that you'd like to donate? We'd greatly appreciate them for our new Scarlet Mentoring Program! Drop them off in the office when you're able.
• Box Tops, Milk Moola, Hy-Vee Receipts: Just a reminder that we collect all of these things in the Roosevelt office. The PTO just recently received $170 from Kwik Trip. Those milk caps add up!! Thank you for your support of the Roosevelt PTO.
• Roosevelt Night At The Museum: This FUN, family event is Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Roosevelt students, along with an adult chaperone, are invited to this event. Students in grades K-2 are encouraged to attend from 5:00-6:30; students in grades 3-5 are encouraged to attend from 6:30-8:00. The Roosevelt PTO knows that your family might have kids in both groups OR that you may not be able to make this schedule work, and that's totally fine. They are just hoping to help reduce the crowd a bit throughout the night. The Roosevelt PTO is in need of 4 volunteers for each hour that night...5:00-6:00, 6:00-7:00, and 7:00-8:00. If you would be willing to help supervise that evening, please send a quick email to Kelsey Bellig at email@example.com.
Lunch with the Principal
James and his buddies came to Lunch with the Principal. Thank you to Jersey Mike's for their support, and to these awesome kiddos for reading at home!!! Keep it up!
Mr. B.'s Assistant Coach, Easton, did a great job with the Roosevelt students. Keep reading, Raccoons! This could be you!
Principal Busch did a great job running the building and helping students when she was the Roosevelt Principal for the Morning. Way to go, Lucy!
