It can be a challenge to plan for all the students you are responsible for at any given time, and that was before we had to consider virtual and blended needs as well. In this virtual training ,we will use Google Classroom to present and interact with a series of mini-professional learning events that each examine a specific sampling of academic and/or behavioral challenges students may be experiencing. Our discussions will include tips and tricks for how to plan for and create more opportunities for meaningful instruction for all students. Meeting Student Needs in a Virtual Classroom: Topic Two - Organization

WHERE
This is an online event.
MORE INFORMATION
The beginning of every school year is usually a flurry of activity as educators set up and decorate their learning space. This year many of us are managing physical and/ or virtual space. This is enough to make even the most seasoned veteran educator feel like a first year teacher all over again but it doesn't have to! The structure, organization and routines that drive our traditional classrooms still have a place in our new digital classrooms. Let's talk about some of the ways we can provide a variety of necessary supports to ensure that the process of teaching and learning is clear and accessible for everyone involved.

Meeting Student Needs in a Virtual Classroom: Topic Three - Supporting ALL Learners
WHEN
Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2pm - 3pm
WHERE
This is an online event.
MORE INFORMATION
One size fits most is rarely true whether you are discussing clothing or lesson planning. Every class is made up of an exciting mix of learners and learning styles that we are responsible for reaching and teaching. One of the most powerful tools every teacher has at their disposal is the knowledge of who they are teaching. Lesson planning is much more deliberate and meaningful when we plan for who we are teaching as much as we plan for what we are teaching. In this session participants will examine some common learning styles and classroom accommodations that can help more students engage with content.Amplify Seesaw Activities
