Reid Elementary News

May 2022

Hi Reid Rocket Families,

This week is Staff Appreciation Week! Thank you to everyone who sent in donations to support our staff!

Our Dimes for Diapers fundraiser ended. Mrs. Odom's class raised over $400. for this cause. Her class won the Pizza Party sponsored by ABC 12 news. Thank you to all who participated. As a school reward, tickets will be drawn on Wednesday for a student to pie a staff member. Please check Reid's PTO and School Facebook pages later this week to see the fun pictures.

As spring approaches please remember that our playground can become a muddy mess. Sending an extra pair of shoes or boots may be helpful in keeping your kiddo clean and dry.

Covid resources continue to be updated and are located on our district website. They can be accessed from this link: https://www.gbcs.org/Page/2960

Please remember to update your child's registration on parent vue for the 22-23 school year. All current students must be updated for the next school year.

We have many events coming up at Reid. Please be sure to check your teachers' news and PTO links for important info too.

Educationally yours,

Jamie Wagner

Principal

Hat Day!

Bring a donation and wear a hat to support Eliot. Eliot is a 4th grader at Reid Elementary. He has a birth defect that affected the growth of one of his arms. His family has established a fundraiser to raise money for a robotic arm. We are supporting this fundraiser with a hat day on May 6th. It is suggested that students bring $1.00 to wear a hat, however, any donations above and beyond will be greatly appreciated.
