An Angora Goat
Goats were among the first animals that people domesticated.
Turkeys in barnyard
Fully grown domesticated turkeys scratch around a farm yard. Most turkeys grown for market have white feathers. Regardless of feather color, all domesticated turkeys descend from the wild turkey.
The Gray Wolf
Domesticated dogs are descendants of wolves.
The First Farm Animals
Domestication of animals changed society because the domestication of animals helped make everything easier for the humans because the animals practically did all the work because then not everyone had to work in the fields and could do other trades such as tool making and the animals could work for longer periods of time and it also gave them plenty of more food and animals and now then animals follow us instead of us following them.

A shepherd and his flock of sheep near Irbid, Jordan. Pastoralism has played a key role in Middle Eastern economic life for thousands of years. The domestication of sheep and goats, and later camels, made human life possible in arid regions. Nomadic pastoralists followed seasonal migrations, alternating between desert zones and the more humid coastal or mountain regions.
